Our Services

No more suffering in silence!

Our Services:

After having done the hard work all their lives, our elderly deserve to live with dignity & respect, the way they want to live, not dictated to. For many that is exactly what happens and they accept to suffer in silence.

We at the Help the Elderly Group work tirelessly to bring a smile back on the face of our elderly. We specialize in helping the Indian & Australian elderly providing advice on how to change their settings to stop the abuse and start enjoying lives.

For many of our elderly, migration of their children to another country makes things a lot worse. The children no longer wish to take care of their elderly parents, in a large number of cases after taking control of their elderly parents’ assets (including money and real properties). From experience we have seen  the behavior of their children starts to change and soon turns into – exploiting or mistreating their elderly parents causing them harm or distress, their behavior would be deemed ‘abusive’. In simple terms, any decision or choice made for the elderly – against their will, with which they are not happy but with which they have to live, will be deemed abusive. The abusive behavior can be financial, physical, social, psychological / emotional or simple neglect or abuse making your elderly parents suffer. There are cases where the elderly are thrown out and left to fend for themselves both here in Australia and back home in India.

That is where we can help – to identify what needs to change and how. We fully well know most of the time these are complex family issues and people want their privacy assured. Yes, for the same reason, all our dealings completely confidential.

At Help the Elderly, our services include providing

    a.
information,
    b. support,
    c. counselling,
    d. advice and
    e. referral services

to help prevent further suffering and abuse and work out what the elderly needs to do in order to safeguard their rights and interests, dignity and well-being. Referral services may include liaising with and referring your case to various Indian and Australian authorities for appropriate relief.

Whether the abuse is
      physical,
      psychological or emotional
      social
      or involving
      financial matters
                   relating to real property/
                   money transfers or
                   other assets,

our help starts from the time we are contacted by the elderly or someone who knows of the abuse.

Therefore, if you are the suffering elderly or know someone who is, get in touch with us immediately to help bring about the required change and stop the abuse and suffering.
